This original variety, sourced in 2015 directly from its developer, Ben Holmes at Centennial Seeds in Colorado, is a hybrid of Hindu Kush x Otto II. In 2016, we isolated one particular phenotype that gave us a very productive, short, well-structured, flowering keeper. Our BaOx cut has been a staple in our outdoor and indoor CBD solventless rosin production ever since and has been used successfully in numerous crosses over the last several years of breeding. For 2021, we have decided to offer a feminized version of our BaOx cut.
The mother is short, stout, and yields thick colas that turn purple and finish in late September to early October in Colorado at 6900 ft. The S1 offspring finish in a similar time frame of late September to early October and will produce three (3) distinct phenotypes, all heavy-yielding with moderate stretch. Most common are green or burgundy phenotypes with the occasional full purple phenotype as well. Nose ranges from deep caramel to musky to what many refer to as a “haze” nose.
Note: While BaOx is easy to grow, it requires an experienced grower to properly manage the “Harvest Window” in order to ensure federal and local compliance. While we provide as much data on the varieties as possible, your experience may vary from our numbers and will require the understanding that the “Harvest Window” will vary depending on numerous factors. It is the responsibility of the grower to monitor and test to ensure compliance.
